The mission of the Delaware Community Investment Corporation (DCIC) is to serve as a vehicle for community revitalization by taking direct action through the financing of, and investment in, housing and related activities designed to address the needs of low to moderate income persons and areas; to aggregate and coordinate the use of public and private resources to improve and expand community development throughout Delaware.

The Delaware Community Investment Corporation was formed in 1994 as a community development corporation by a group of financial institutions.  As an independent nonprofit corporation, DCIC has collaborated with private banks, public and private developers and public agencies to create or preserve 5,187 units of affordable housing through its loan and investment programs.  DCIC also provides long-term financing for commercial real estate projects located in areas targeted for revitalization, and short-term financing for planned revitalization projects throughout the State.
